The theme was people. Genuine, approachable, passionate people.

People who serve others. Farmers. Health professionals. Teachers. Techies. Lawyers. Authors.

All who want to leave the world a better place than when they found it. That goes for the people in front of the crowd and those within it.

Ohioans are ready for a change.

As David Pepper would say, “This is our year.

We appreciate all who attended our pasta fundraiser and the volunteers who made it happen. Thank you for your time and generosity!

A woman speaks to a seated audience in a cozy room with yellow and blue walls. Attendees, some in wheelchairs, listen attentively. The atmosphere is engaged.
Politically-seasoned guests visited us at Galion’s Mi Cerrito. Former House Minority Leader and current Ohio House Rep. Allison Russo is the Democratic candidate for Ohio Secretary of State.
Three smiling men stand together indoors. One wears a blue sweater, another a dark jacket, and the third a black hoodie. A clock is on the beige wall behind them.
Daniel Burket is a husband, father, small business owner, and the board president of a developmental disability center. He ran to represent Ohio’s 5th District in the US House of Representatives and attended our February Central Committee meeting. (Update: Brian Shaver received the nomination.)
Four people stand smiling outside Mark's homemade ice cream shop. A red-and-white shop sign with a cartoonish cow logo is visible in the background. Casual, cheerful atmosphere.
Bryan Hambley is a husband, dad, and leukemia doctor running for Ohio Secretary of State. He treated us to Mark’s ice cream, joined by Alena T. Fox (former candidate for Bucyrus City Council At-Large), Chris Volpe (former candidate for US Senate), and Allen Laferty (Crawford County Democratic Central Committee Chair). (Update: Allison Russo received the nomination for Secretary of State.)
About 50 people sit at blue picnic tables, some eating but all listening attentively, while a woman and a man stand at the front. The setting is at a park under a pavilion with a baseball field in the background. The people are shaded while the sun shines surrounding the shelter.
Amy Acton is a mom and doctor from Youngstown, running for Ohio Governor to fight for struggling Ohioans and give power back to the people. Elliot Forhan is a lawyer and former state representative running for Ohio Attorney General. The pair visited us at Galion’s Heise Park. (Update: John Kulewicz received the nomination for Attorney General.)
